Supporting customers, employees, partners and communities during Covid-19

During this unprecedented pandemic, we’re grateful that we came into this new environment having a lot of experience with remote work. We’ve had flexible work policies since the company began; all of our employees had previously worked with our technology team to set up secure home working environments. And all were comfortable with our video conferencing systems and secure cloud-based information platforms.

The result is that we’ve been able to serve our clients without interruption and continue to improve our technology platform. We recently implemented the Kelly Klee Hotline, operating 24/7/365, should our clients have an urgent request outside the working hours of their personal Relationship Advisor.  We’re also making rapid progress on the new Kelly Klee mobile app to give clients ready access to their Relationship Advisor and policy information.  

Because remote work has been a part of our culture for so long, I wrote an article about it to share some of our less-obvious best practices.  If your company is struggling with the remote work transition, please let me know as I’d be happy to get more specific about what we’ve seen work and where we’ve seen challenges.

We’ve also been grateful to have opportunities to support our local communities during this difficult time. Some notable examples include: our CMO Chad’s daughter raised funds for Denver Meals on Wheels from selling her artwork on Etsy; our Marketing Director, Heather, sourced handsewn masks to provide to a team of occupational therapists in Ohio and donated supplies to a local food pantry; one of our Relationship Advisors, Rachon, donated funds to Las Vegas organization Project 150, which serves homeless students and families with meals and hygiene products.

I’ve been hosting the local Rotary Club of Aspen’s meetings on Zoom, and we’re now regularly seeing 50 members join the calls. Our club was an early adopter of the virtual format, so we’re excited to be featured this summer in an article in Rotarian Magazine.
